Chai is a vital part of South Asian households, but for younger generations, it’s starting to feel more like a mystery. Loose-leaf tea sold in bulk can be intimidating if you didn’t grow up learning how to make it, and that’s where this redesign comes in.
I reimagined Society Tea, the market leader in loose-leaf black tea, as a brand that feels approachable, modern, and easy to use for people my age. I wanted to demystify the process and make authentic chai feel less like an inherited skill and more like an everyday ritual anyone can feel confident doing.

I’m Nishka! I’m a designer and creative director based in Los Angeles and Mumbai. I’m currently pursuing a BFA in Design from the University of Southern California. Previously, I have interned at Omaha Productions and the Universal Music Group.
When I’m not making stuff, catch me Depop-ing, listening to The Marías, or waiting till midnight to do all the NYT games.
